Help us out!

My boys are in college. As of today, one of them (William) is a junior and the other (Cullen) is in year two. Naturally, we are worried about a few things:

(1) Clean clothes--Although William did say that "it's not rocket science mom" while my wife was trying to explain doing laundry to him.

(2) Driving--This is too scary to think about.

(3) Shopping for food and clothes

(4) Cooking for themselves when cafeteria food isn't enough.

This blog is about the cooking. We are looking for recipes that are easy and tasty. Nutritional value is a secondary concern here, although we shouldn't neglect this aspect of food. If you have any ideas, send a link to a page or a recipe (with pictures if possible of the finished product.) I think the equipment they or any kid should have available to them would include basic kitchen stuff (knives, pots/pans, and stove/oven.) Other possible options would include--crockpot or insta-pot, toaster oven, hot plate and some kind of mixer. Things like a cheese grater, garlic press, and spices beyond the normal (they should be able to find salt and pepper) most likely would need to be bought or borrowed.

I'll try to impose some kind of organizational framework one we get going.

Thanks!
